'The bitter and the sweet' - Series 6

$620.00
sold out

There is pleasure in comfort and comfort can also become protection and limitation. While there can be stigma associated with seeking comfort, I aim to see it neutrally. After all, most judgement of comfort seeking comes from people who may have little context about our lives and inner worlds. This piece explores the duality of comfort. How nice it can feel to have a pillow to hold onto, and how sometimes the attachment to it can eventually stop us from having courage to leave familiarity in search or something new.

This mini ceramic sculpture is approximately 3.5cm (H) x 8cm (D) x 6.6cm (W) and features 24 karat gold lustre accents. This series contains one off sculptures that will not be replicated again in exactly the same way. Each piece is hand sculpted and glazed by Ashlee Bennett with care and precision over many hours.

Each piece comes with a certificate of authenticity for this series.
