'New beginnings' - Limited edition sculpture

‘New beginnings’ is Ashlee Bennett’s second limited edition sculpture release. This piece has an edition of 55, never to be repeated again. Each piece is made from earthenware clay, a light purple gloss glaze and lustred with mother of pearl. The dimensions are 5.5cm high x 4.2cm deep x 5.2cm wide. The edition number is marked on the base of the sculpture e.g. 1/55.

As the title suggests, New beginnings is a sculpture about the start of something, whether that be an intentional start or something life landed for you - wanted or not. The sculpture represents a willingness and conviction to face or embrace something new. There’s a quiet determination and desire to use energy and power wisely, while feeling anchored and supported by the ground.
