'Listening to the moon' - Limited edition sculpture

‘Listening to the moon’ is Ashlee Bennett’s first limited edition sculpture release. This piece has an edition of 28, never to be repeated again. Each piece is made from earthenware clay, a light pink gloss glaze and lustred with mother of pearl, and is 6cm high x 4.2cm deep x 4.3cm wide. The edition number is marked on the base of the sculpture e.g. 1/28.

‘'Listening to the moon' is in an edition of 28, which represents the days in the cycle of the moon. She is holding her neck gently, feeling the bridge between the mind and body and the tension it carries. The presence of the moon encourages intuition and softness to allow the wisdom of the body to be known in the mind. I feel so much awaken in me when I listen to the moon, it's usually a matter of allowing it in.’
