‘Symbols of my Psyche’ is an ongoing collection of ceramic sculptures representing objects that come to my mind’s eye in ways that feel out of nowhere, but intuitively feel like dream symbols to be interpreted. Creating sculptures based on these mental images make them tangible and psychologically continue to morph their metaphorical meanings. This practice can lead to more images and symbols, and possibly a greater understanding of life.
‘Can’t hide it under the table’ - is a reflection on the childlike urge/reaction to hide under a table, and realistically how fruitless it is as it’s just not a very good place to hide without being noticed. This feels symbolic of the ways we as humans try to hide or at the very least protect innocent feelings even as adults, yet they are incredibly obvious to those with attuned eyes around us. This ceramic sculpture is made of earthenware clay and glaze. It is approximately 4.8cm (W) x 3.6cm (D) x 4.7cm (H).
This piece comes with a certificate of authenticity and is a one-of-one original sculpture.
